Meet our speakers
Each of these Montessorians is serving the world in their own unique way, and we can learn from them!
  • Peter Davidson
    International Presenter on Montessori Leadership
    Peter has been consulting with schools and speaking on leadership, governance and administrative topics in the U.S., Canada, Australia, the Netherlands, the Palestinian Territories, Russia, England and the Czech Republic. He was the founding board chair of the Montessori Administrators Association (MAA), and served on the boards of both Montessori Institute Northwest (MNW) and the Association Montessori Internationale (AMI). Peter holds the AMI Primary (3-6) diploma from Edgecliff College (1975). Peter served as Head of School at Montessori School of Beaverton, Oregon for 27 years, and as Assistant Head and Interim Head of Montessori in Redlands, California, for 10 years. He is now retired and travels the world to share his wisdom with schools and their leaders.
  • Kathy Minardi
    Executive Director, Whole School Leadership, Inc.
    Kathy is the founder of Whole School Leadership (WSL), which helps Montessori administrators around the world guide healthy communities of children, families and school staff. Kathy has 40 years of experience as a school leader and was the Head of School at Aidan Montessori in Washington, DC for 17 years. Kathy has done work for NAMTA, AMI USA, Montessori Australia Foundation, AMS and AMI. Through WSL and with the support of her colleagues, Kathy directs several cohorts of school leaders through comprehensive training in Montessori Leadership, Instructional Leadership and School Culture, Change Management Theory and Practice. WSL offers certificates in collaboration with Loyola University Maryland and Association Montessori Internationale.
  • Lesley-Ann Patrick
    Montessori Adolescent Studies Expert
    Lesley-Ann is a graduate of the University of London with a degree in French Literature and Theatre, and has a Post Graduate Certificate in Education from the University of Cambridge. Since 1988 Lesley-Ann has been teaching ages 3 to 16 years old in schools affiliated to the Association Montessori Internationale in the UK, Sweden, India and France. Since 2010, her work has focused on the ages of 12 to 18, firstly in Scotland, and then in Sweden where she was the principal Adolescent Co-ordinator. Lesley-Ann worked as an advisor at the AMI/NAMTA Montessori Orientation to Adolescent Studies in both Sweden and Ohio. She currently works as a mentor with both students and adults in Adolescent Communities. Her time is shared primarily between France and India.
    Lesley-Ann is also involved in AMI Educateurs sans Frontieres. She is the mother of 6 Montessori children.
